About project
With an aim, to boost Europe’s competitiveness in the global satellite market the project’s GIESEPP MP consortium will develop the first European Plug and Play Gridded Ion Engine Standardised Electric Propulsion Platform.
WIT Berry’s team was responsible for all the communication activities within the Horizon 2020 project GIESEPP MP.
The Challenge
The main challenge for WIT Berry team within this project is to plan and implement various engaging communication and dissemination activities despite the limitations that the global pandemic has imposed. The travel restrictions that prevent team members from meetings as well as live workshops where videos or photos from the working progress could be taken, puts certain limits to the range of activities.
The Outcome
The project has started in January 2021 and it will last 36 months. So far our team has created a communication and dissemination strategy and now we are working on implementing it - social media communication, participation in events, public engagement, work with students and more...
The tasks that WIT Berry's team implemented
Communication Strategy
One of our first aims as well as our first deliverable was creation of communication and dissemination strategy. We prepared all templates to keep track on all the activities as well as steps we will follow to reach the project's Impact goals.
Website
One of the most important tasks was to update the website. Our aim was to clearly organise all the public information related to projects - goals, facts, progress, consortium, roles etc.
Brand Book
As the GIESEPP MP was the continuation of GIESEPP project, our main goal was to further develop already established logo and style. We kept similar look and feel design by adapting, improving and evolving certain elements and visual materials.
Social Media Communication
We adapted our communication strategy on social media to the defined target audiences, mainly professionals. However, the students, young professionals as well as space enthusiasts will also play an important role and will be reached via social media.
Videos
To promote project we created some videos that were posted on social media and on the website. We plan to create more videos when project will be more advanced.
E-mail Newsletters
E-mail newsletters are planned to be sent out after we will collect some data base. At the moment only regular team update newsletters are being sent.
