Switch to Space 2 – space event in Belgium

About event

The largest event in Belgium dedicated to students and young professionals interested in developing careers in the space sector. In 2022, it was the third event organized by Youspace.be, that took place in Brussels, Belgium (19.10.2022)

As it was the third edition, we had to take it to another level and ensure that this Switch to Space is even more successful than the previous two.

The Challenge

This was the third Switch to Space event. There were various novelties that the organisers wanted to bring in of course it had to be brought to even a higher level as we already had two Switch to Space events in 2018 and 2022.

The Outcome

More than 600 people attended this event, including high-ranking space professionals, CEOs of top space companies in Belgium, ESA, universities, Belgian astronauts and most importantly – the students and future space professionals and experts.

The tasks that WIT Berry's team implemented

Social Media Communication

Social Media Communication We managed the social media communication Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We introduced all the speakers, topics, sponsors, organisers as well as created dedicated events.

Communication Strategy

One of our first aims was to create a communication strategy as before taking any action we had to know when, who, why and how tasks will be implemented in order to achieve the anticipated results.

Videos

We produced 17 videos to highlight the effort of organisers, the benefits of the students and young professionals from attending this event as well as the interesting topics, these and presentations that were delivered by the top-level professionals in Belgium.

Website update

We had to update the website to archive the previous events and highlight the novelties of this Switch to Space.

Registration

We created a registration form and reported to organisers weekly, so that they would be able to plan the event accordingly – choose the best fit rooms for topics and organise the speed dating etc.

Other details

We produced roll-ups, online presentations, brochures, and many other materials so that the information about the event could spread in various ways and reach the goal of this event.
